Senior Technical & Operations Specialist with 18+ years of industry experience in leading Business Operations, Strategy, Program Design, Development, Implementation, Program Management, M&E, Human Resources and Commercial functions.
Khurram is a development practitioner with a blend of Social Innovation, Business, Technology and Project Management skills. Khurram has been interacting very closely with Governments, Development Sector, Donors and other stakeholders on challenges in achieving SDGs, specially in the Education sector, and has provided leadership to teams designing innovative Theory of Changes for new products and services directed towards improvement of service delivery at grassroots level.
He has served as the Programme Director for ILMunate – a project funded by UKAID/FCDO under Ilm-Ideas 2 programme. He has previously headed successful implementations of Learning Boost projects in Punjab & KP under FCDO/DFID’s Sub-National Governance programme and an innovative TA on ICT integration in education executed by Asian Development Bank for TeleTaleem. He has also led Marketing and Business Development functions at TeleTaleem, and in his capacity as the Head of Education Business Unit at Comcept; remained involved in all stages of setting up TeleTaleem’s operations. During the recent past, Khurram has been involved in the Conceptualization, Theory of Change design and implementation of projects valuing over US$ 6.5 Million.
Khurram is also an active member of REDO Foundation, a voluntary social welfare organization working in the field of prevention & cure of blindness and kidney malfunction; rehabilitation of visually handicapped & drug addicts, running free/subsidized dialysis treatment centers in Islamabad/Rawalpindi/Balkasar/Wah, three fully equipped Eye Hospitals & MCH centers, besides conducting regular free medical camps in far flung areas of the country.
